Transaction Settlement Specialist

The role of the Settlement Specialist is to represent eXp Realty to assist agents and brokers in closing their Real Estate transactions.  World-class customer service / experience is required for every interaction with strong problem-solving skills, empathy and urgency to every engagement.

The Settlement Specialist is responsible for the final review of the file and timely payment of commission to the agent effectiveness and efficiency. To promote the agent relationship, excellent customer service skills is a key success factor to the role.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

Work within cloud-based Real Estate Transaction Management platforms
Support Transaction Coordinators to ensure all requirements to process a payment to an agent are met – follow up with Agents when needed
Monitor Settlements incoming e-mails and/or tickets
Save incoming closing documents an upload them to Transaction Management platforms
Check both Platforms for accuracy of file information against the closing documents;
Check for Broker Approval in file
Push file through to complete payment to agent
Work with agent and transaction coordinator to problem solve discrepancies
Complete daily tasks in a timely efficient manner
Assist Agent with Transaction Management Platform and Commission Disbursement questions
Communicate and answer Agent questions in eXp Email in a timely manner

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 year OR 4-year College degree
  • 1--2 years of relevant experience in a high-volume, real estate transaction process with focus on delivering a world-class customer service / experience; Real Estate Experience in Transaction Contract Management preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents including real estate contracts, leases, and settlement statements
  • SkySlope experience preferred
  • Ability to work remotely with no direct in-person supervision
